Sunflowers in Full Bloom

We were traveling out to South Dakota and we stopped along side the road, ran across the road and ran into this beautiful sunflower field. I made my children kneel down and snapped this picture. Not only is it beautiful, but it brings back fond memories of us living in Kansas.

The Sunflower fields are so beautiful when they bloom in August.

Did you know that sunflowers follow the sun? The face of the sunflower always faces the sun, In the evenings when the sun goes down they bow their heads until morning.

Most likely where the name sunflower came from.
Later I was informed that rattlesnakes are found in the fields. OH MY!!!!!!!!! Thank God for his safety.

My Daughters hand at Photography

These flowers laying on this older worn out board put me in mind of the old life before Christ, and then the new life that is brought forth when Christ makes us a new creature.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

She really likes this one below because of the fence in the background.

I like this one above, I believe she has on eye for photography.

Friends

Izzy Our Demon Dog

I really wanted to share this picture. We used to tell Izzy (the little black dog) that she was a demon dog, when we happen to get this shot, It just proved what we knew all along.
But then you get shots like these.

Gotta love them

Our Trip to Colorado Springs 2006

I grew up in the Ohio area and when we were ever able to get away we loved to go to Gatlingburg, Tenn. I have always loved the mountains and I am thankful for every opportunity I was given to visit the Great Smokey's BUT I have to say that I have never seen anything that put me an awe of my loving Savour like the Rocky Mountains did. My favorite place I have ever visited has to be Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This is the Reservoir going up to the top of Pikes Peak. This is such a beautiful spot.

This is another beautiful spot in Colorado Springs. It is definitely worth driving through Garden of the Gods. Some of the prettiest rock formations I have ever seen. I just wish I had more pictures of this park.
One of our great blessings we enjoyed while living in northern Kansas was being able to take people that had never seen the Rocky Mountains on a two and half hour drive to see their faces when they saw the beauty of God's Creation. We knew how it felt to us when we experienced it for the first time and we loved to share in that same experience with others.

His Handy Work

This first picture is my favorite picture, I even shocked myself. The colors are so vibrant.
I have a love for the beauty of God's nature. I love the colors in the fall and the new life in the spring. Here are some pictures I took in the fall of 2008 when we first moved here to Kentucky.

I desire a photo program so that I can detail my work, I am praying for one. But for now all I have is my raw shots.

Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the CREATION of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
